Mid-Career Diplomatic School (Sesdilu) is a competency improvement training  of Mid-Career Diplomat. Sesdilu prepares Mid-Career Diplomat to be intelligent, skilled, agile, and quick in facing the dynamic and challenging global landscape. Sesdilu also prepares Mid-Career Diplomat to become powerful and courageous future leaders to prepare Golden Indonesia 1945.


Sesdilu curriculum is designed into modules on character building, negotiation, Strategic Issues in Foreign Policy, priority issues in Indonesian diplomacy, effective writing, media handling, effective communication, competencies consolidation, and Information and Technology. Mid-career diplomats will learn from experienced speakers  to develop skills in negotiation, communication, writing, and strategic thinking.


With modern and complete facilities, Center For Education and Training (Pusdiklat) is where Mid-Career Diplomats prepare to change the world through advanced and ethical diplomacy. Mid-career diplomats will define the future of global diplomacy!


Requirements

  1. CV and Permission Letter to attend the Senior Diplomat Education and Training (Diklat Sesparlu) from the Primary High-Ranking Officials in each unit or from the Head of Missions

  2. Junior Diplomatic School (Sekdilu) certificate

  3. Terms and Conditions of appointment or a certificate of passing the Competency Test for Junior level or holding the rank of III/c

  4. Work Performance Assessment/PPK with the lowest score of "Good" (“Baik”) for the past 2 (two) years

  5. Not currently undergoing disciplinary penalty or under investigation for suspected moderate or serious disciplinary violations

  6. A valid English proficiency certificate (minimum score: 550-TOEFL ITP, 79-TOEFL iBT, 6.5-IELTS) that is still valid and has been published directly by the English Testing System (ETS).

  7. Candidates may also register using a valid proficiency certificate in a UN working language other than English (Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, French, or Russian) or another international language equivalent to ITP 550, iBT 79, or IELTS 6.5 (upper-intermediate level).


Duration of Training 

Mid-Career Diplomatic Training (Diklat Sesdilu) is held twice (2 Batches) with training duration of 13-16 weeks and maximum of 440 lesson time (JP).



Training Objective or Goal

Mid-Career Diplomatic Training (Diklat Sesdilu) aims to provide and improve the competence of Mid-Career Diplomat with the First Secretary by improving knowledge, skill, and attitude.



Learning Method 

Sesdilu training is held in a hybrid model (online and offline). Hybrid implementation is conducted to provide opportunities and facilitate participants from Missions of the Republic of Indonesia abroad.
